first school illustration

This is my first project this year. It's a portrait study, supposed to be conceptual. Mine is a comment on how Marc Jacob's has become bigger than the individual, more of an icon, a cultural phenomena. It's not my favorite piece, I would love to do it over, and maybe I will. Painting it was fun.

Hiatus is over

I've certainly neglected my blog, but with school around the corner once again, I'm hoping to be much more diligent with posting. Here is a page from my sketchbook, experiment with Acrylic paint. 

Midway Mania.

I am fortunate enough to be participating in a group show this month, it is called 'Midway Mania' and is themed on, you guessed it, the Midway. The show will be opening Thursday July the third at the Looks Could Kill Boutique (Art Central.) The show is stacked with talented artists, come by and check it out.

Sketch Book Pages

Some of the more successful pages from my sketch book. I think a couple of idea's might eventually work themselves into paintings.

The other is a sketch of an elderly man I saw on the train, he had a face full of character and wear from a long life. In the drawing he seems to wearing a smirk, of what's the cause, I'm not privy to.
